The Anderson County Republican Party will be conducting their regular re-organization meetings in February and March. All positions are up for election, and terms will run through March 2015.
The first meeting will be held on Wednesday, February 20 at 7 PM at the Oak Ridge Civic Center. The purpose of this meeting is to select delegates for the County Convention to be held in March.
Delegates must meet the definition of a Republican in accordance with Tennessee Republican Party By-laws.
We will also nominate candidates for party offices at the February meeting.
Nominees for party office Must meet the definition of a Republican in accordance with Tennessee Republican Party By-laws, and must have been active within the party within the last 2 years. Delegates must be present and sign in at the February meeting to vote at the County Convention in March.
The County Convention is scheduled for Tuesday, March 26 at 7 PM at the Oak Ridge Civic Center. Delegates will be electing party officials at this meeting.
Current Chairman Alex Moseley (who is not up for another term) will serve as Parliamentarian and Curt Kelsey will serve as Contest and Credentials Committee Chairman.
Any contest to the results of the County Convention must be filed with the state chairman in writing within ten days following the Convention.
